The Tynman Custom Mopar Metal Fabricator

I thought Id tell everyone about The Tynman.
No, it's not a radio show, a TV show or a book.
The Tynman. is my nephew Joe, who is a very talented guy with a shop in Southeast Michigan.
Joes talent? He hand-forms new 1963-1964 Max-Wedge hood scoops using mostly hand tools along with shrinkers and stretchers.
He has done all the leg work and investigating for proper measurements to insure proper dimensions. These scoops are not fiberglass but hand crafted out of correct gauge aluminum stock. They are an exact duplicate of an original piece. He also has the authentic hardware that goes along with these scoops.
These scoops are of even more interest to those lucky enough to own an original 1963 - 1965 Maxi car or a clone and race in NHRA Super Stock classes: as far as I know, these metal hood scoops are legal in such NHRA classes, whereas the fiberglass scoops are not.
He also makes the 1964 - 1965 Hemi scoop and base plates and ships them raw, awaiting whatever finishing, such as primering and painting.
As a metal-friendly guy, The Tynman. also repairs sheet metal, fenders or hood, either aluminum or steel. Moreover, he hand-forms aluminum grille supports for the 1963 - 1964 Plymouths, along with aluminum hood braces for the 1964 - 1965 Dodge cars. He has done complete hood skins too. He also makes lightweight bumpers for the 1963, 1964 and 1965 B body Mopars in aluminum or steel.
E-mail Joe at
or call 419.215.7270 between 8 A.M. and 10 P.M. eastern time for more information; ask for "The Tynman" and say you heard about him via this Web Page on the 1962 to 1965 Mopar Web Site!
Thanks, Bill!
Joe certainly IS one very talented guy!
Neat stuff!
