1962 Plymouth Sport Fury convertible for sale with factory 413 Max Wedge Golden Commando option. This car is the only known survivor of the 13 Max Wedge Sport Fury convertibles built in 1962. It has a Red exterior, Black/Red interior, and White convertible top. Fully restored to Concours condition; it was judged 1st place Early B-Body at the Mopar Nationals the first time it was shown. It is the best Max Wedge restoration anywhere, featuring all matching body numbers, and date code correct mechanical parts. Engine, transmission, rear end, carbs, distributor, and radiator are all correct casting/stamping numbers and date code correct. It has all of the correct Max Wedge engine accessories, wiring, exhaust, brake lines, right down to the correct speedometer pinion adapter.
The Sport Fury is a rustfree, Western car with full documentation back to the original owner in Missoula, Montana. Purchased new at Troy Motors in Harlowton, Montana, it was street driven in Missoula, and raced on occasional weekends in Spokane, WA, until the owner moved to California. He moved back to Montana in 1964, where the car remained until 1995. Because it was not seriously raced, it was never caged or tubbed, cut up or wrecked like so many of the sedans. The restoration was completed in 2000 using all NOS or restored original parts. Full decoding and inspected by Galen, Darrell Davis authentication, and title history from Montana completely authenticate this truly rare and unusual car.

1963 Dodge Polara 500 convertible for sale: original 426/425HP Max Wedge Ramcharger. 1963 was the zenith year of the Max Wedge, and while the true racers were snapping up the 2 door sedans, a few well heeled guys opted for stealth street racing. How else do you explain that 3 people in the whole country ordered a 500 convertible, and then checked the boxes for 13.5CR/425HP and 4.56 gears? This black Dodge sports a Red 500 stripe, Black/Red bucket seat interior, black top, and all the 500 trim. An encounter with this car in 1963 had to be a Beauty and the Beast experience depending on the brand you were driving.
Sold new in Virginia, it eventually made it's way out to California, and then back to Nebraska, before being discovered by Galen Govier in Ron Slobe's project collection. Galen authenticated the car and then traced it's history back to California. Having just minor rust, it had never been caged, tubbed, or wrecked like so many of the sedans. It was treated to a full Concours restoration in 2006. Already having the matching body numbers and fender tag, all of the correct, date coded mechanical parts were located to bring it back as a numbers matching car. It has the correct date coded HC engine block, intake, heads, carbs, and distributor. Radiator, pulleys, wiring, brake lines, oil pan, exhaust manifolds, exhaust system, choke cable and brackets are all original Max Wedge parts. It is one of the finest examples of a Max Wedge and was invited to the prestigious Meadow Brook Concours in 2007.
Sure to attract attention anywhere with it's good looks, it really draws a crowd when the engine fires up. It would be very difficult to find another car as rare, featuring a high quality restoration for the value price of $200,000.00. Partial trade considered for early Hemi or Max Wedge project cars. 1965 Dodge Coronet two door sedan for sale. If you have always wanted to build or have an A990 clone/tribute/recreation (whichever term you like) now you can. I am not going to claim I can do a car as nice as a Mosher Masterpiece, but you could park this one next to one of his without shame. Started from a rust free Sothern California body, yes, original floor and trunk pans in this baby. Never undercoated. Finished as nice underneath as topside. The big stuff: original vintage hemi block (1968) with iron K heads and mag cross ram intake with correct carbs, correct aluminum water pump housing. Many replica parts from Kramer, Harms, Petro, and Ball. Torqflite has been rebuilt with hemi components, rear is fresh 3.55 Suretrac. 5 spoke aluminum front wheels and steel rears. Parts Wanted for 1965 Plymouth Satellite: the trim piece that runs between the tail lights, below the deck lid. It is 2 pieces, jointed together in the middle of the license plate frame. I need the right side, (passenger side). Satellite and Belvedere are the same piece. (Satellite trim has the engine turn inlay and an emblem. Got them.) 18,584 folks virtually walked through the original 1962 - 1965 Mopar Web Site Swap Meet from November 22, 1997 through August 18, 1999. The counter later reset from 33080 to 0, then the counter host company went to belly up, dot bomb status. Oh well, anyway, LOTS of people have virtually browsed the 1962 to 1965 Mopar swap meet tables since put on the Web on August 18, 1999.
