David Loar writes: “The bushings are made from Delrin, which is many times more durable than the OEM plastic. They are machined so you get a full 2 inch penetration into the column for a tighter ‘feeling’ wheel, and the flange is machined to match the flare at the bottom of the column which gives it a very clean, finished, look. They are truly works of art. I make these in my spare time and am not a manufacturer or... I do this to keep busy, to help fellow rodders, and make a little change. They are $49.95 + S and H.” Contact Dave at 919-845-8903 or david.loar AT gmail.com (Replace AT with @)

  • New Anti Chatter Brake Drum Springs. We have reproduced the spring that stretches around the outside of the brake drums. This spring is meant to dissipate heat and to control brake lining chatter. The original springs have lost temper and will be rusted so they cannot perform as designed. The vehicle uses one per wheel. The cost is $16.00 per spring plus USPS shipping from zip code 48114 to you. Contact Ray Menzel at email: rjr- AT hotmail.com or call 810-623-2227. See a photo.
  • Rear Brake Drum Puller: 6"x6"x5/8" steel plate with the 5 holes drilled on the 4 1/2" bolt pattern that all Mopars, except Imperial, use. For 1956 and newer cars that have studs on the drum, we made elongated nuts (1 3/8" long) by drilling and tapping hex rod for right and left hand thread. We cut right and left hand threaded studs to length and screwed them about half way into the elongated nuts and tack welded them into place to maintain the right length. You screw the five elongated nuts onto the stud on the drum. The studs stick out beyond the axle far enough to install the plate over the studs and sits against the axle shaft. You put a nut and washer on each stud and tighten them until the drum comes off. It pulls on all five studs and is shorter and sturdier than three legged pullers.... The puller for 1956 and newer cars sells for $100.00. Add $12.00 for UPS shipping within US. To order, send a check made to Les Fairbanks to T & L Mold 1246 E. Empire Ave. Benton Harbor, MI 49022. 1962-1965 B Body Temperature Control Switch

Almost all the switches in our old cars have the vacuum ports broken off of them. I have machined a repair kit to fix this problem.
View vacuum control switch, Before View vacuum control switch, After
I will repair your switch and send it back to you for $35.00,(money order or cashiers check only) shipping included. You can't buy these switches from any vender. My part will make it work like new. Also, something new I've added to the switch fix is a repair that will fix the slides that have the socket broken off that the push buttons fit into. Price is $5.00 each. I can only offer this if you have the vacuum port repair done. The labor and cost of shipping would be too great otherwise. View vacuum control switch example

Another new product is the vacuum switch that bolts onto the blower motor switch on 1962 to 1965 AC cars. The cost to redo this switch is $35.00 shipping included.
View blower motor vacuum control switch, Before View blower motor vacuum control switch, After
I also fix the temperature control switch for 1962-1965 air cars that is located on the plenum box behind the glove box. This temperature control switch is almost always broken. I can rebuild yours for $40.00. The replacement is made out of aluminum to last a lifetime. Send yours with money order or cashier's check. View temperature control switch. Shipping is included.

I can also install new wafer boards inside almost all switches from 1962 to 1965 (or up to 1972). The cost is 5.00 per board. Ac/heat has 4 boards, heat only has 3 boards. I am the only one who makes these boards.

Your switch could be rebuilt inside and out for a maximum of $70.00. Most switches don't need all the fixes. Contact: Anthony Powell, Dept. 62 to 65 Mopar, 1305 North Grant Drive, Sherman, TX 75092 Or e-mail aepowell3@verizon.net and tell Anthony you saw his ad here.

It lets you play the music from a CD player, iPod®, Sirius/XM® satellite radio or even a cassette player without removing or modifying the original radio in your Mopar. Also allows hookup to a portable FM radio to play through the original FM.
  • REDNECK RADIOS: Convert your stock AM shaft style radio to AM/FM/AUX Input. ($150 or less). It is a lower priced alternative to the big boys out there.($350-$450) [Editor’s Note: The owner of Redneck Radio has a 1964 Plymouth!]
You will end up with the AM radio stock look, but with all new electronics inside. It will have two standard speaker output at about 10-15 watts each (L, R suggested use for two small speakers in dash center stock location), two RCA preamp outputs (L, R suggested use to the rear speakers with added small wattage amp), amp remote power on, bass boost, stereo/mono switch, and AUX input for CD player or MP3 player (Ipod).
Some modifications have to be made to small cases and to stock radio knobs. The only thing you loose in this type of conversion, are all the preset buttons. Three of them become buttons for other uses.
Here is a 1966 Dodge Charger that I recently did.
I have one in my 1964 Belvedere with just two small speakers in the dash. I love it.
The best thing about it is, you do not take up needed space in the glove compartment, no need to cut up dash to fit a radio in, and who is going to break into your car to steal an AM radio?
Prices vary due to the size of AM radio case and availability of the new electronics. Please contact me for pricing. Send email to Dooner at doonerfunderburk “AT” clearwire.net (Replace the “AT” with @ to contact) with '62-'65 REDNECK RADIOS in subject and if possible send a picture or dimensions of radio case.

  • Brand new performance cams for the early 318 Chrysler A engines with the poly “semi-hemi” heads from 1956 to 1966. Camcraft had a special run of semi-finished performance castings made. These are not the same castings the stock cams are made from. These castings are made from Proferall ++ material which is the same material used in most racing cams. There is also more material to accommodate more performance oriented cam profiles, which allows a much wider leeway in profile selection: you are not limited by what profile will fit on a stock cam as a regrind. Camcraft can grind a cam for most any application from street rods to nostalgia racing, and can grind hydraulic or mechanical profiles.
