1965 Plymouth Belvedere I

Jim writes:

In 1997, from a bone-yard in central Arizona, I rescued this 2 door post car from the crusher.

Below is a couple pictures so you can see what I started with!

I have been working on it for about three years, with approximately two more to go!

The parts hunt has been interesting and the '62 to '65 Mopar Web site has been helpful.

There is a good group of "Moparians" here in Phoenix and they also have been a great help!

I am building a 440 motor for the car with a 727 auto transmission and I have found a set of vintage style torque-thrusts which should set it off.

It has been a while since any visible progress has been made but when some shows I'll send more PICS!

Thanks for the website, it helps to motivate!
Thanks, Jim!

Your a guy who obviously likes a challenge AND knows a jewel in a sea of metal when he sees one!

Keep going on the restoration. It is a lot of work but well worth the effort!

Glad to hear that the '62 to '65 Mopar Web site has helped, too!
